Philanthropy

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been Phi Mu’s national philanthropic partner since 1986. “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” The first line of Phi Mu’s Creed has been a call to serve others since it was written more than 100 years ago. From our earliest days of supporting a health mobile that delivered health care to women and children in rural areas to supporting toy carts for children in hospitals to our current partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu has long been committed to lending a helping hand to those in need.

We are proud to be the only sorority to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum. We were also the first sorority to establish a National Philanthropy Day more than 20 years ago. Lending a helping hand is at the heart of who we are as Phi Mus.

Phi Omicron's Philanthropy

Phi Mu's National Philanthropy is the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and locally we support the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia! Children's Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for 170 children's hospitals across the U.S. and Canada, helping make sure every child receives the best possible care.

Our sisters love to support CHOP with our Dodgeball event in the fall and Lemonade stand in the spring! Last year our Chapter alone raised $1,600 for CHOP which went straight to helping children get the best possible care.

We also support La Salle Panhellenic's Philanthropy, the B+ Foundation, the largest provider of financial assistance to families of kids with cancer in the US, helping over 3,800 families this year. La Salle Panhellenic holds its Explorathon event every spring to raise money for the B+ Foundation. Last spring we raised the most money for the B+ Foundation out of all of the organizations on campus!
